BIG NEWS! The first screening of our story, as featured in the documentary Hell or Clean Water, is screening on CBC’s Documentary Channel, Sunday November 7, at 9pm ET / PT.
What a great opportunity for Canadians to become more aware of the problem of marine plastic debris on our coasts. If you’ve seen the film and are wondering how you can help, here are a few suggestions:
- Consider steps you can take to reduce your personal plastic use, particularly single-use plastics such as those used in packaging and take-out food.
- Get involved in a coastal clean-up project! If you don’t live near a coast, consider donating to a group who does this work. We recommend a donation to Clean Harbours Initiative… but we might be biased! 😁
- Urge all levels of government to commit more funding to support ocean clean up activities!
