If you have seen the film “Hell or Clean Water” (and if you haven’t – you should!) you know that starting Clean Harbours Initiative and building it into what it is today has been a long journey. We have been supported along the way by the contributions and encouragement we have received along the way; from schoolchildren to the federal government of Canada.
We could not do what we do without your support, generous donations and ongoing contributions to our work. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Our work to clean Newfoundland harbours in 2020-21 is partially undertaken with the financial support of Environment and Climate Change Canada, through a joint project with IFAW Canada.
We are also proud to partner with ACAP Humber Arm, with support from the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Environment, Climate Change, and Municipalities.
Thank you to the Town of Long Harbour Mount Arlington Heights for supporting our clean-ups in Long Harbour / St. Croix Bay area.
We will be forever for the generous donation of our dive boat “Catch’a The Day”, by the family of the late Lindsay Petten.
And our heartfelt thanks to Holly Hogan, for donations made in memory of her son Ben. Thank you!
From now on, CHI will conduct a clean up on May 28 (or as near as circumstances allow) in memory of Ben Hogan.
Our work could not be conducted without the tremendous amount of support received from various local businesses and community organizations. We would like to express our appreciation for the ongoing support from the following :
- Lions Club of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Avalon Industrial & Marine Supply Ltd.
- Vails Fiberglass Inc.
- Coffee Matters
- Commissionaires Newfoundland and Labrador
And to everyone who has helped us to grow our Initiative – be it through donations, by supporting our CHI Sea Shoppe, by donating equipment and supplies, or by volunteering your time – THANK YOU for your support. Together we are making a difference for our ocean!
If you or your organization or company would like to become a partner, or sponsor a harbour clean-up in your area, please contact us.
