Shawn Bath’s desire to clean the oceans started in a previous life.
A longtime commercial diver, the Twillingate native was involved with the sea urchin fishery for over two decades.
When he was diving below for his job, Bath would see the litter on the seabed, and there were plenty of times he was finding those urchins attached to old tires and other pieces of trash discarded in the bay.
